What is happening to my Stars?
Your Star earning rate is changing from 3 Stars per £1 spent to 10 Stars per £1 spent, making it easier to track your earning.
What will happen to my Star balance, free drink coupons and Gold status?
These will be switched over automatically - we'll do all the work, so there's nothing to worry about.
What is happening to Gold membership?
Gold membership benefits include - free birthday drink, selected complimentary syrups, extra shots, whipped cream, exclusive bonus Stars offers. The Gold level threshold is being updated to 2500 Stars, with more choice on what you can earn your Stars on.
What will I be able to spend my Stars on?
Now you can enjoy more choice and faster Rewards. You can redeem select bakery items, handcrafted drinks or selected merch.
When are the changes taking effect?
The changes to Starbucks® Rewards happened on 28th January 2025.
Why can't I update my app?
The Starbucks® UK app for mobile currently requires an operating system of:
- iOS 16 or later
- Android OS 8.0 or later
If your mobile device doesn’t support these versions (or higher), it’s not possible to use the app at this time. You can still get the benefits of the Starbucks® Rewards programme by:
- Using a physical Starbucks card to make purchases and redeem your stars. Just make sure this card is registered to your Starbucks® Rewards account - log in to manage your cards online.
- Using the new Scan & Pay feature on the website on a mobile device. If you already have an account, simply log in and tap the PAY button at the bottom of the screen. This will show your existing Starbucks cards and QR codes associated to your account.
