Water is a precious natural resource and an important ingredient in our business. That’s why we are looking for new ways to be responsible with the water we use, consume and sell.
In our new stores around the world, we’ve installed water-efficient fixtures to monitor our consumption in all new stores to identify where and when we are using too much water, if we have any leaks and if we are wasting water.
This way, we can work quickly with our partners (employees) and suppliers to make changes to the way we use water in our beverages, ‘behind-the-scenes’ at every Starbucks stores, and in our day-to-day operations.
One Water®We don’t just focus on the water we use in-store and in our drinks, but also on the water we sell.
Since 2013, we have sold One Water® in some European stores, an ethical water brand. 100% of One Water profits are used to help end water poverty around the world, with the goal of positively impacting five million lives by 2020.
One Water® funds life changing projects in some of the world’s harshest regions and to date, they have raised £8 million for these causes.
We are proud to be part of this journey by using the Starbucks name and stores as their platform to raise awareness of their cause. Learn more.
