Our Community

We are at our best when we make a connection with our community.

Our partnership with Neighbourly helps us build strong relationships with community groups, local charities and people. If you’d like your local store to support your charity or group, we can provide space, funding, time, coffee and people.

Please speak to your local store manager about how we can help or email us emeacommunity@starbucks.com.

Red Cup Cheer

Every year, our award-winning Red Cup Cheer Campaign brings together local charities, stores and partners during the holiday season. When you buy one of our festive red cup drinks, we donate 5p towards our 250 charities as chosen by our partners.

Big Cow Project

We are proud to buy our ethically sourced coffee from farms all over the world. We work closely with these farming communities to support them. In Rwanda, we partner with Send-a-Cow to provide cows to farm workers in need, to lift them out of poverty and provide food and resources for them and their family. In 2016, we created The Big Cow Project and more than 700 stores have helped raise nearly £40,000 to fund cows for the people of Rwanda. Learn more here.

Diversity and Inclusion

Since our earliest days, we've been committed to creating a culture of warmth and belonging. Inclusion is in our DNA and our partners reflect the diversity of the communities and customers they serve. They represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds, experiences and beliefs. Celebrating our partners' diversity – of race, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, age, religion or ideas – not only enhances our culture; it also propels us forward as a business.

Starbucks and Pride

In 2007, we founded the Starbuck Pride Alliance to support and advocate for our LGBT partners. Today, our community is made up of thousands of partners around the world. Check out their Facebook page here.

We are actively involved in Pride festivals across the region. Learn more here.

Global Month of Service

We work all year long to make a positive impact in our communities, but April is our Global Month of Service. This is when we bring partners, customers and partner organisations together to help address local community needs.

During the month, partners around the world give their time to local projects and invite other partners, customers and community members to volunteer with them. 2017 will be the seventh consecutive year that we have run this activity.
